Key Takeaways
- Evolit is supporting KSV1870 in implementing a new, modern portal solution as part of a strategic digitalisation initiative.
- The new platform replaces the existing myKSV portal and is based on a modular architecture with Liferay DXP.
- The goal is a secure, efficient and future-proof portal to strengthen customer retention and further develop digital services.
As part of a comprehensive digitalisation initiative, KSV1870 is partnering with Evolit. The project aims to completely realign the existing portal landscape and replace the long-standing myKSV portal with a modern, future-proof platform solution.
KSV1870 has operated a custom-developed member and customer portal for several decades. This solution has reliably served its purpose, but due to its monolithic architecture, it no longer meets today’s requirements for user-friendliness, modularity, security and cost-effective maintenance.
“It was clear to us that we needed a digitalisation partner who is not only technologically strong, but also understands our organisation, supports our long-term goals and thinks about the customer experience,” emphasises KSV1870 CEO Ricardo-José Vybiral. “With Evolit, we have found exactly this partner: competent, structured and with a deep understanding of complex corporate systems.”
A Modern Portal Solution as the Foundation for Sustainable Digitalisation
As part of the project, the existing portal is being replaced by a new solution based on Liferay DXP. This step enables a combination of standard software and custom software development, achieving both flexibility and cost efficiency. The goal is a contemporary frontend for members and customers as well as a sustainable reduction in development and maintenance costs.
Florian Valente, Lead IT Architect at KSV1870, underlines the strategic significance of this approach: “The modular architecture allows us to respond more quickly to new requirements and develop digital services in a targeted manner. Evolit brings not only technological expertise, but also valuable experience from comparable enterprise projects.”
Two Core Project Components: IAM.Next and myKSV.NEXT
The project is divided into two closely interlinked sub-projects. IAM.Next creates a new identity and access management solution with a frontend based on Liferay and a backend based on Keycloak. This solution lays the foundation for secure, flexible and scalable user and access management.
In addition, myKSV.NEXT realises the new member and customer portal. It fully replaces the existing myKSV portal and integrates seamlessly into the existing surrounding systems. Stability, security and a modern user experience are the primary focus.
“Especially with a central system like our portal, stability, security and efficiency are the highest priority,” says KSV1870 CFO Hannes Frech. “At the same time, we want to offer our members a modern, intuitive user experience. The collaboration with Evolit gives us the confidence that both requirements will be equally met.”
A Digital Platform for Long-Term Customer Retention
With myKSV.NEXT, a modern, attractive and high-performance portal is being created that strengthens the retention of existing members while also supporting the acquisition of new customers. The new architecture forms a sustainable basis for future digital services and underscores KSV1870’s commitment to combining innovation and reliability.
“This project is a central building block of our digitalisation strategy,” summarises Ricardo-José Vybiral. “Together with Evolit, we are creating a platform that offers our members real added value and positions us optimally in terms of technology for the years ahead.”
With this project, Evolit once again positions itself as a reliable partner for custom software from Vienna, demanding portal projects and enterprise software.
