Senior Requirements Engineer (f/m/d)

Vienna, Austria · Full-time, Part-time · Senior

Working at Evolit

Your Responsibilities

  • As part of an experienced team, you are the link between clients or the business side, stakeholders and the implementing teams across our projects. Depending on the project, you build new software solutions or digitalise complex processes, upgrade existing systems and create new interfaces.
  • You develop as-is analyses, system context, use cases and requirements in workshops, structure them and bring them to approval; you evaluate options and prepare decisions.
  • You specify interfaces, map out data flows and dependencies, align new interfaces with the implementing teams, and keep the impact on schedules transparent.
  • You accompany the implementation by the development teams or suppliers, support the assessment of the requirements and make sure they are realised correctly; in software projects you also contribute to the design and implementation of the solution.
  • You collect, assess and answer catalogues of questions from end users.
  • You analyse anomalies in live operations, clarify root causes with everyone involved, translate them into requirements or tickets, and support go-live.
  • You facilitate and help shape jour fixes, status rounds and sprint reviews, and bring the results into the relevant specialist committees.

About You

  • You hold a relevant degree (university, university of applied sciences or HTL) in an IT-related field, such as computer science, business informatics or similar
  • Several years of experience in requirements engineering at an advanced level, ideally with CPRE certification (Advanced Level) or equivalent hands-on experience
  • A technical understanding of how software development fits together, as well as of IT systems, interfaces and their integration
  • Methodological competence and hands-on experience applying RE process models and tools (e.g. UML 2, BPMN)
  • Knowledge of railway infrastructure, system and control technology is an advantag
  • Confident handling of Jira and Confluence
  • German (at least C1) and English skills that leave nothing to be desired
  • You love structuring complex matters and expressing them clearly, both verbally and in writing
  • Analytical thinking, stamina for complex topics and real enjoyment of working with many stakeholders to reach workable solutions
